It's a new year and many people are looking at getting healthy and vitamin options, so I wanted to do a quick post on my suggestions for great daily's. I love Young Living's vitamins and nutrition supplements and I highly recommend them.

The quality is a great reason to get them, but also the price. As a wholesale member you can get all Young Living products at 24% off. If you are not familiar with what that means It's kind of like Costco or Sam's Club. You join... and then you get incredible deals on everything Young Living has to offer.

There are no minimums. And no monthly requirements. And rather than a "fee" to join, you choose a starter kit filled with product, samples, information, and more to start you on your journey. If you want to become a wholesale member, contact me and I will help you sign up as a wholesale member :) You can also purchase direct (retail) from me too.

Take a look at some of these recommendations:

Young Living’s Natural Health Supplements and Multivitamins for Core Nutrition
The average person consumes only a fraction of required daily nutrients, so it is important to take vitamins and minerals to supplement your diet. Enhancing your diet with a whole food-sourced multi is an excellent way to ensure optimal wellness, regardless of age or individual nutritional requirements. The benefits of Young Living's whole food-sourced multivitamins far surpass those offered by synthetic supplements.
Young Living’s Alternative Nutrition Enzymes and Minerals for Core Nutrition
The modern diet is comprised primarily of convenient, pre-packaged meals. These nutrient-deficient choices are full of synthetic flavor enhancers and lack the important dietary minerals our bodies require. Young Living's Life 5Essentialzyme-4, and Mineral Essence offers a variety of detoxifying enzymes and mineral supplements to help rid the body of unnecessary and potentially damaging substances.

Young Living's Most Popular Product Recommendations for Natural Health Supplements
  • NingXia Red: A superfood-sourced, essential oil-infused supplement, plus the vitamins and antioxidants your body requires..
  • Life 5™: Probiotic that builds and restores core intestinal health.
  • Multi-Greens Capsules: A nutritious chlorophyll formula designed to boost vitality by working with the glandular, nervous, and circulatory systems.

DIY Detox Bath

Back in December I found myself fighting a bad bladder infection which let my immune system down a bad road again. Convinced I would not spiral downhill after having to take antibiotics, I hit it hard with all the things I knew to do- drinking Kefir Water, staying away from sugar, applying immune strengthening essential oils like Theives and Oregano Oil, etc. However, I still felt my body was on the verge of a breakdown.

For the first time ever I attempted detoxing with Essential Oils. I added them to my tea, *distilled water, and baths. I noticed after my baths, I felt amazing. I slept amazing. Frankly, all my symptoms of feeling "yucky" departed.

I thought to myself, "this might be a great new habit to get into." Taking baths is quite relaxing, and my brain is really resting. I initially took them 3 times a week, then two, now about once a week. Honestly, Ive been under a lot of stress and busier than usual so Im not eating as well or sleeping as long at night. These factors usually would lead to one thing. However, my body is doing great. So after almost three months of regular detox baths, I can offer to you it is worth a try if you are wanting to:

  • detoxify your body
  • rest your mind
  • relieve your stress
  • get better (repairing) sleep
  • fight bacterial infection
  • prevent illness
  • sooth body & muscles
Initially I started with simple Dr. Teals Lavender Epsom Salt (available at Target, etc) but I was going through it so fast I bulked up with larger quantities I found online. Here was an easy initial recipe I created you can start with to try!

Add to warm bath:

  • 1/2 Cup Epsom Salt
  • 2-5 Drops Lavender (Young Living Essential Oil)
  • 2-5 Drops Peppermint (Young Living Essential Oil)
  • 2 Drops Valor (Young Living Essential Oil)

Here is a protocol you can try to strengthen your body against all those things going around!

wellness protocol:

*be smart! IF you feel cold or flu symptoms, make sure you get full nights sleep and drink lots of water!! don't just drink this once a day and think thats it!

Why Take Probiotics?

I talk to people everyday about probiotics, but when you don't understand what probiotics are or what they do, it's hard to explain why we need to take them.

Maybe you already drink probiotic drinks like Kefir Water or Kombucha, but you want to know the "why" behind the "what". Or maybe you think its all a gimmick and you dont want to jump on a trendy train... well this video will be very helpful to anyone trying to understand probiotic benefits or who is suffering with a "mystery illness".

I have been suffering from a "mystery illness" for 15 years, and since I started drinking homemade probiotic water I have seen the most improvement in my health... ever. If you want to read more posts on it you can click here

I wish every American would take the time to watch this and get educated. Its very well done,

Basic Kefir Water Recipe

Basic Kefir Water Recipe with some helpful tips...

  • 1 Glass Quart Jar (no lid)
  • 1 Wooden Spoon
  • 1 Plastic strainer
  • 1 cotton cloth & rubber band (to cover)
  • 1/4 Cup Water Kefir Grains
  • Spring or Alkaline Water
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar

About Water Types:

I have tried many different types of water, and trust me, bottled spring water or alkaline water works best. If your grains are growing fast, you can slow down by simple filtered water. If they are shrinking or not growing, well water or alkaline water has high mineral content which helps them grow. Never use water that has chlorine, fluoride, or zero minerals in it such as tap water or reverse osmosis water. Your grains will be sad and die. :(

About Sugar Options:

Sucanat/Rapidura or brown sugar I have found to work best. Organic white sugar has also worked well for me. Do not, I repeat, do not, use Coconut Sugar.

1. Place 1/4 C Water Kefir Grains in Sugar Water (1 Quart bottled water + 1/3 C sugar dissolved) in Glass Mason Jar.

2. Let sit on counter covered with cloth (I use old t-shirt cut up & rubber-banded.) for 24-48 hrs. (I go 48)

3. Strain out the grains (with cheese cloth or strainer) and bottle the water (1 Quart makes 2 bottles). Avoid using metal strainers.

When you bottle the water you can add lots of different things to it to flavor and continue fermenting it, 100% juice is the simplest for beginners, and we found that Cranberry, or a Cran-raspberry blend, is pretty much fool proof.  Be sure after they are bottled and flavored, you cap them tight and leave on the counter for another day or two so that they get fizzy if thats what you are going for. They will not be fizzy without the second flavoring step.
